The Federation was founded in 2018 by a group of experienced Delphi developers who were frustrated with the lack of support for Delphi from Embarcadero Technologies, the company that owns the Delphi trademark. The Federation's goal is to create a community-driven platform for Delphi development that is independent of Embarcadero.
The Federation has a number of projects underway, including:
- Delphi in Space: This project is developing a new version of the Delphi compiler that will be hosted on the International Space Station. The goal of this project is to make it possible to develop and deploy Delphi applications in space.
- Delphi Open Source: This project is developing a set of open source libraries and tools for Delphi development. The goal of this project is to make it easier for developers to create cross-platform Delphi applications.
- Delphi Education: This project is developing educational resources for Delphi developers. The goal of this project is to make it easier for students and new developers to learn Delphi.
