In this article, I'm going to share some of my favorite recipes and tips, so that you can create delicious pizzas at home.

Pizza Dough

The first step to making a great pizza is to make a great dough. My favorite dough recipe is simple, but it produces a flavorful and chewy crust.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add the warm water and olive oil and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Pizza Sauce

The next step is to make a delicious pizza sauce. I like to use a simple tomato sauce, but you can use any type of sauce you like.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the crushed tomatoes, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.

Pizza Toppings

Now it's time to choose your pizza toppings. You can use any toppings you like, but here are a few of my favorites:

  • Pepperoni
  • Sausage
